Having done some Googling, I found some photos showing the American Curl longhaired cats, which look quite similar to this beauty in the puzzle. Same colour and face shape, same round-looking ears, same kind of size and same big feet.
I checked out Scottish Fold, too, and mostly they have round faces and little ears that look as if they have been folded forward and buttoned down. The end of the ears are still pointy, though, and not rounded like the American Curl.
Hope everyone finds this interesting. He looks a heavy cat to have on your lap, doesn't he?
He's certainly a very fine beastie. I thought Scottish Folds weren't as big as this; whatever he is, he's magnifi-cat.
This is the featured cat on the Cat-a-Day calendar. It says that it's a genetic mutation which affects the ear cartilage. It also says they are very affectionate.
And the size of those paws. He's outfitted for some serious fighting. Or something like that. He looks quite serious. Like "don't get in my way."
A polydactyl Scottish Fold. He has 6 digits on the left paw. Possibly on the right one too. Gorgeous cat!
