Night all, morning allthe sun is shining and here's a brandnew day
Morning RetiredJan - you are welcome :o)
Morning everyone! And thank you so much Lady C!
Good night Lady C . . . sweet dreams . . . :D)The same goes to anyone else who is passing by . . . :D)
And so we come to the end of the day ... until tomorrow then - good night world, sleep easy ... cue harmonica ......
I wouldn't dare commenting, Froggy... You know me :-)
Thank you Lady C . . . :D)Incidentally, I applaud your using the word 'commiserations' . . . one of my favourite words but unlike you I normally use it with my tongue firmly in my cheek . . . :D)Pleeeeeeeeease . . . no comments about that making it difficult to say anything . . . lol
Yes, sort of 'sorry you lost' and 'hard luck' wrapped up in a nice word :))
Thanks, Lady C :-)In Starlordian that would be: I feel sorry for you :-)))
My apologies Starlord ....Commiserations - a feeling of sympathy and sorrow for the misfortunes of others
My my, Lady C... what happened to the 2 syllable words :-)commiserations...
Congratulations again RetiredJan and welcome to the exclusive, Eternal Hall of Fame :o)And my congratulations Miss Trouble and Frog on the bonus game, well done :)Neville, what can I say ? I offer you my commiserations :(Hi Aggie m'dear :o)
Wow Neville, that's a big difference... Lions won by 25 points...Don't lose your sleep over it :-)Morning Aggie.... Strange this is:-)Australia is going to bed, America is waking up and I'm in the middle of it
Yippeee!!! I won the bonus game . . . and I am doing the Smarty Pants dance . . . well my version of it but I doubt I will be able to keep it up for half an hour . . . lolI will forgive you for not knowing Don Lang Starlord . . . I doubt he was known outside the UK. He was a regular on the Six-Five Special and recorded the theme music. His best known song was probably 'Witch Doctor' . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz8W8N7tZX4
Nighty night all. I'm off.
Lions 41, Wallabies 16. They gave us a lesson.
You're welcome Retiredjan :-)@ Pk: :-)))))Ow Neville, Think the game has been played?Night RJ :-)
Night-night, you can all go home now, guys, James Bond won!
Half time: Lions 19, Wallabies 10.
Oooh, thanks for that Starlord, so much quicker!
Don Lang doesn't ring a bell for me :-(I only know a couple of Dons... Don McLean, Major Don .... and another Don who will be in the DYR one the next days :-)You can also use your mouse to copy/paste, Retiredjan. Right click copy and then right click paste.Weird the links didn't work for you, Neville. It's like Major D says. do a neat copy from beginning to end. Nothing more, nothing less :-)You better keep that alter ego behind bars, Froggy. Surely don't want any mayhem. And congrats on your win in the 'extra' round :-)I always think no one will find it, so you are hereby granted to do the Smarty Pants Dance for half an hour :-)
Morning TAF - now Don Lang, that name rings a bell....
Found it! Thanks so much - what an interesting mix of names! Ulangariver, just highlight Starlord's http site below and press Control C, go to the Internet and highlight the http address at the top, press Control V and the web address will appear, enter and voila!
Good morning all . . . :D) Well done Jan . . . you'll be telling us next that you remember Don Lang . . . :D)Missed out again but at least I've managed to have a stab at the 'bonus' puzzle . . . lol. Thanks for the extra posting Starlord . . . :D)You'll be pleased to know that Trouble is still out for the count . . . I think I overdid the meds. At least it's better than being out with The Count like she was the other night . . . almost 3am when she crawled back home . . . :D)
hi Neville - the links work for me - just make sure your cut and paste is neat starting with the http:
Not sure what I am doing wrong, starlord, but that is the second time this evening I have punched-in one of your recommended http sites, and nothing has come from it (other than that I have been informed that my entry is false). Is there a secret here, on how to get into these sites?
Ooohh, that's terrible, RetiredJan. A two-horse house. Ever thought of deporting hubby back to the Old Dart, from whence he came? I think it is about time us Aussies returned the favour, to the English. Yes, may the best team win, anyways.
The EHoF is not on my website, Jan :-)It's posted as a puzzle here http://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=MUBAGVJP
And may the best team win. It will be another interesting night at my house with my hubby cheering on the Lions and me barracking for the Wallabies! Don't care who wins really, as long as it's a good game! And thank you starlord, I'll look up the EHoF on your website.
Lol major D... when you were second in line, it's good you looked down. If you looked up, the 'view' wouldn't be better, I think :-)Looking forward to the results, Neville. Enjoy the game
As is my standard practice (for those who are interested in Rugby Union), I will supply the half-time and full-time scores of tonight's Test Match, immediately.
I don't like it because when I played at school I was always 2nd row in the scrum - it hurt my ears and I spent most of the time in a scrum looking down at mud. When I stood up, the ball was miles away and it was yet another scrum. There must be better sports than this
Yes you are, Jan :-)This is the latest version of the EHoFhttp://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=MUBAGVJP
(And they've been pretty clean games, too Neville) Wow, am I really in the Hall of Fame? I thank you all, I couldn't have done it without your support! (especially Starlord and the Major)
Objection denied, Major D. Indeed, Teenager is love was a great hit, but who says Marty Wilde, says 'Abergavenny'. Terrible or not :-)Indeed Lady C, Retiredjan is now in the EHoF, but only on my pc... It doesn't update automatically you know :-) An updated version will be posted by simple demand.Neville, I had to read your comment twice... So you and Retiredjan are fans for different teams. That's great :-)My interest in rugby is as high as Major D's :-) Could be a great game when you understand the rules... which I don't :-(
I fully concur, RetiredJan. One thing I will say about these Tests - the standard of Refereeing has been top-notch. The Froggy fellow in the First was A1, and the Protean fellow in the second wasn't far behind. It is usually a measure of good Test refereeing not to see bad write-ups in the press, and there was none of that.
Objection - he got to No2 with a teenager in love in 1959. Abergavenny was a hit in Europe - but it is 'officially' terrible
Okay then, since Marty Wilde was easy, who are these guys? :-)http://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=6ZD6SPHV
Hèhè... Great job, Major D... Thanks :-) You're the unofficial winner. Many congrats to Retiredjan who wasn't on the EHoF... until now :-) You made it, Jan :-)Also congrats to lady C for a time that's simply.... wow :-)Thought it was easy, Squish? Okay, how about another one then? :-)It's like Major D says: it's easy when you know them and ever so difficult when you don't know them. Here's Marty, with his greatest hit: Abergavennyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzs8mSnSZ2A
I am so interested in rugby that I wait for Neville to give the result on Jigidi
All you hotfingered puzzle solvers are in danger of getting rheumatism you're so fast! Up the Wallabies!
I think the Lions will need her on the wing with that speed
Goodness gracious, lady c. If you get any quicker it won't be worth even starting!!!
careful now Lady C - just while I was on pacman too
Well done RetiredJan, I think this means you are now in the EHoF. I don't see your name there ?
they are only easy if you know them....and so difficult if you don't. I think Starlord has taken his doggy for a walk to the channel ports this morning!
Thank you Major, I was quite chuffed that I've got one at last! Even though it was an 'easy one', Squishy (and thank you)! I remember when Marty used to star in SixFive Special with Cliffy, those were the days!
Wow! I took my eyes off the leaderboard for one second, and lady c you rushed in for all the glory. And good on you, RetiredJan, for taking the musical honours. What an evening it has been so far!!!
I always forget to refresh before I post my comment... Well done retiredjan!!
Easy one again. thank you. I quite liked his daughter too.
oi lady c - 12!!! Was that in one go?
and his daughter Kim Wilde now does gardening
it is RetiredJan - Marty Wilde
thank you Lady C - and keep guessing - no clues yet, well perhaps one...gardening
Good evening to you, too, ulangariver! We're all set up for tonight's game which I feel will be a real nailbiter! Morning to you Starlord. Major - is it Marty Wilde?
Saturday is a busy day for lady c....but she'll wait until I've gone to sneak in to win. What else do you do Neville when Starlord puts you in charge :)
I'm always impressed by the Major, Neville :o)
Down to 12 now, Major. Lady C won't be impressed!.
yes a bit, but no..........oh I do feel bad :)
Looks a bit like a very young Frankie Laine. (?)
sorry Lady C - but no
It's not Bobby Vee is it ?
Good evening RetiredJan, a fellow Aussie compatriot. Greetings to you.
Morning RJ and good evening Neville :-)Have to go for a doggywalk....Major D was spot on already... so I'll leave him in charge. He was okay with that :-)Happy hunting
Good morning starlord, lady c, MajorDon & all starlord fans. Another exciting puzzle to be solved. And yes, lady c, the best team will win tonight, whoever gets their nose in front. This third Rugby Union Test between the Lions & the Wallabies has already drawn a sold-out crowd of over 84,000 here in Sydney, so it should be a most marvellous spectacle.
I've got him by the way
Right, ladies and gentlemen - now who is it?
Morning Lady C and Major D...
Good morning Kirkham, Belgium and Australia...and places in between
Good morning Starlord, hello world, hi Neville and Marge ? got the deciding game today Neville, good luck and may the best team win:)
