Joan, yes, this is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting my sister made for my birthday. She gave me three six packs of pansies and decorated the cake with one of them and white violets from her yard. Both pansies and violets are edible. I ate the violets but added the pansy to a little bouquet of daffodils my brother in law picked for me. Well if you gained 10 lbs looking, I must have gained 30 by now. Its my favorite.

Thanks Chrissie, Pat and Hanne! Sorry I didn't get you on my thank you card. All my Vitamin Fs are very important to me. You made my day special. Sue, Mickey's birthday card to me had a cat flying through the air about to land spread eagle on a birthday cake. He said he considered writing "Finnegan's Father" on the front of the card so I would know where Finn got his genes. LOL. Gail, I am having my second piece of cake right now - it is definitely NOT to pretty to eat. I ate violets and all.

Pat and Hanne--we always try to put them under "THEMES" so they are grouped together. Sorry you weren't aware of this. This is lovely with the flowers, Cheryl. I posted on my cat puzzle that I found it hilarious that I posted that last night, probably about the time that Finnegan was urging Lai Lai to help him eat the frosting. HAHA

She sure made it look extra pretty. Almost too good to eat. Notice I said almost:)
