Wonderful puzzle, thanks. It reminds me of a local custom. On Christmas Eve many people build HUGE bonfires on the levee near the Mississippi River. There will be as many as a hundred sometimes. Then they light them at dusk - to help Santa find his way. I've only seen pictures, but it is a spectacular sight.

We can pretend it's a campfire! Virtual campfires are smokeless.
