Trilliums were such a major part of spring in WA state. I think we have them up our way, too, but I haven't really noticed them. Thanks for the photo, Aggie.

They really can be seen quite well in the bushlots - hard to miss them. It is a sign of spring when they pop up. They last for a couple of weeks and then they start to turn a pinkish color and disappear until the next year. Treasure that pin, Suzy especially since it came from your mom.

Thanks, aggie. I haven't gotten into the woods yet to see the trillium. They are a sure sign of spring. My mom had a brooch of a trillium that she got in Ontario. I have inherited it :)
