Thanks Joyce, loads of chimneys here.
See your point eb. What I know about the name Swan is supposedly from the Viking raiders then settlers in Scotland...Sue

No, never been to Scotland, it would be nice, though. They came to Cincinnati, Ohio from Glasgow, but I don't know any farther back than that. Hard to track Smiths!!

Fancy that eb, have you ever been to Scotland. One day I would love to do my family tree and see what part of Scotland the Swan's originated...Sue

Well, these Scots get around. Mine are from Glasgow.

We've been on holiday 3 times to Scotland but have never done the east coast. If we go again I would like to have a look at that side of Scotland. I love it there perhaps it's because I have ancestors (farmers apparently) from Scotland too.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Aberdeen 48 and Janus...Sue

what a wonderful little trip to Aberdeen today Sue - I've always been fascinated with Scotland, and the quick tour you provided today makes me even more so. Thank you!

An extended stay in Aberdeenshire is the sole item on my bucket list fueled by an obsessive desire to see the homes of my ancestors. Thanks for the preview.
