Great photo - but it's a little shy of details in the highlights and shadows. That can be remedied if you choose - I did a pass on a screen snap, and added some explanations, at http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=BW976ACD
ten stars by the way!!
See the light speckling on the dark feathers underneath and also on the back. And the size of the feet. I just checked the book and it is probably a four year old which is a first year adult, not a second year adult. They take four years to reach adult.
They truly are a majestic bird. I'm proud to know someone who knows one personally!!!! ♥
Thanks Patti and Morris. Looks like they may be raising a family here. Yay!
Love it, Laura!
I LOVE these guys! Thanks Laura!
Thanks, Lorna and Snooker! I didn't think it would come out because I was so far away. How can you tell, Dave? I don't know what to look for.
Looks like is isn't quite fully mature yet. Probably a second year bird. Great photo, Laura!!
You did good with this one, Laura. :)
Wow, what a great photo Laura.
The eagles were calling to one another. It was amazing! They seem to stay here at Lake Lou Yaeger, instead of leaving in March. I appreciate your comments, Sandy, Ellen, Ginger, Toto, Jan, Smllpkg and Beekay!
Excellent photo Laura! Wow!!
Awesome photo! Great capture, LJ.
Amazing! Thanks for this beauty, Laura!
Wonderful photo, Laura. His feathers look a bit ruffled, was it windy?
