Wow the amazing things that I learn on Jigidi never cease to amaze me! Thanks magpies1 for an interesting history lesson and puzzle.
Camels definitely run wild in the outback areas dondi. They were introduced early last century as a means of transport over rough dry country & then left to go feral. They had Afghan handlers - & now they are sometimes exported to the Middle East as they are a pure strain.
They most certainly do...Australia has the largest population of wild camels in the world, last count at 1.2 million, they were first introduced in 1822.
Camels??? Camels run wild in Australia? Or are they what the cops are riding?
