Thanks Dagmar. I never knew what her name was and since she was semi-long haired and looked fluffy that's what I started calling her. I must admit that she answers better to "kitty" though. Thanks for coming by. Thanks, too, for adding another star on the board.
I agree with everybody else, this is a beautiful composition. Even Fluffy's eyecolour matches the green of the oxalis. Fluffy is really a beautiful cat and it's easy to see where her name comes from. :))
Sometimes, Hanne, she sleeps there. I can be around in the kitchen and until I do something that makes noise she doesn't wake. But at the lightest sound she's all alert. Love you coming by. Hugs.
You detect correctly, Kirsten. I also played with the ink dropper. That was lots of fun with surprising results. I really don't have a good eye for color matching. All the embroidery colors and shadings were done by the designer not by me. I just followed the pattern. So all help is quite welcome.
Thank you Cevas. This is an oxalsis which is in the shamrock family. I have two shamrocks as well but the oxalsis is extra special as it is what's left of plant that was a wedding gift over 100 years ago. The leaves do fold up at night like the shamrock. BTW I'm Ardy.
Hi Jan. Great to have you home. Thanks for your lovely comment. I've waited a long time to get tha cat, the camera and a decent day for a picture. I was glad it came out well.
It IS a beautiful vignette Ardy! What a great idea to take a shot like this. And I concur with Jan. I like the framing too. Do I detect a slightly wider white part of the frame?
What a beautiful picture!! Thank you ringleader! Fluffy is adorable and your plants are beautiful too. Is that a wood sorrel ( alias shamrock) on the right. I have one but the leaves are a different shape and they fold up at night. Plant cousins maybe !?
Ardy - this is such a perfect photograph. You've framed it beautifully and Fluff just grabs our attention! The plants are wonderful, too. It looks like your orchid likes that spot. What a wonderful vignette! Thanks so much! 1:38
Barb, She's watching to see what I'm doing and if I'm going to bring her some treats. Watch this space tomorrow for what she does when she wants my attention. That is assuming I'll be able to post. Forgot to ask at your place. How did the bingo game go? Did you win anything? Thanks for coming by.
Samantha, when she's in she pays no attention to the plants even if they are down on her level. When I had my Siamese it was a very different story. We used to have African violets. She would wait until a bud was starting to open and then eat it. We gave up on the violets, not the cat. Thanks for coming by.
