Yes, I loved it too and still watch if I see it on the 'old movie' channel. It must have been one of little "Ronny" Howard's very first appearances - I think even before he became 'Oppie'. He did really well with his lisp. Loved so much of the music and also the developement in the relationship between the Music Man and Madam Librarian. Thanks for adding your comments.

My favorite musical! I have watched the movie version numerous times! All the songs are great but I like Marion the Librarian the best!
