Yes, I like old buildings ... as long as they are safe! And a special thank you to Carol for the extra interesting details about this school.
Thank you for the story of the school. It is nice that they are renovating and upgrading, instead of tearing down and just rebuilding.
:)))) No I don't chew gum any longer.
Hi Carol. Some memories are pleasant and some are painful. Sounds like most of yours are good! So ... do you still like to chew gum? :)
I can still name some beloved teachers .... Mr. Miller (now passed), Mr. Thorne (now passed), Mrs. Street (also passed)........I hope they someday know what they did to inspire our lives......even tho' Mrs. Street once spank me. (A huge trangression in those days......I was caught CHEWING GUM.)
Oh, if those walls could only talk.....the basement, where the school "dentist" was, the cafetia where there was one choice... SOUP....... if you had the money you could buy a ice cream bar afterward. :)
Thanks Robbie. Yes, I'll take more pictures when they finish.
This will be a grand looking building when finished, thanks cevas.
Hi Ank. Wow! Great time! You, JC and I are all together. That's fun!
Hi Cathy. First I solved the other puzzle and I did ask what they were doing. Then I started this one and understood. But at that moment there was telephone, so now it's much later. This answers my question. And I don't know what happens, but look at my time. wow
Hi JC. Yes, unfortunately, we do. There was a 7.7 earthquake just off the coast of Haida Gwaii, BC about a month ago.
Seismic upgrade? Do you get earthquakes there, Cathy?
The back of Queen Mary School looking south. They completely gutted the building. Now they are strengthening the existing walls and adding a new interior.
