I'm very fond of covered bridges and this is a beauty. I've never even seen a picture of one with snow and ice and I just love this whole scene, thanks!
No, PG. Jim did NOT take this one. (He may have held on to me so I didn't fall on the ice while taking it though!) Robbie, DO TELL about the tatoo and where (location of the TOWN not the TATOO) you got it!
Whenever we have a wedding gift to buy, it comes from Simon Pearce! We usually get up there at least once every 2 years, and never tire of exploring the area. We have not had lunch there yet (we never seem to be there at the right time), but will catch it one of these days!
Yes, Pat....icy cold!
About 2 years for me also pumpkin. I have friends in Hartland. If you are up there, do have lunch at the mill if you haven't already. There is an incredible glass blowing factory downstairs.
Thanks, morris and twoclubs. I believe the bridge suffered significant damage after Irene, twoclubs. We have not been there in about 2 years, but plan on going back soon. It is a beautiful area.
I have been to Queeche and over that very bridge. Also had a lovely luncheon at the restaurant on the mill. Hope this area is back to normal after they were hit by Irene last year. Thanks pumpkin!
