krs2fer - You don't have to buy water balloons. Just ordinary cheap balloons will work fine. You are just going to cut them off when the freeze.

That would look cool out in the front yard.. I don't care much for the cold but I'm going to give that a try as soon as it freezes..
Water balloons and food coloring will be added to my shopping list.

This is such a cool idea for winter! Just fill balloons with water and add food coloring. Then once frozen, cut the balloons off and you end up with giant ice marbles! Have Fun!
