Astrid, in no way are you a party-pooper . . . I can only imagine what you are going through and I will be thinking of you during this time of emotional upheaval. I am so sorry that things have turned out this way but everything has a reason and I hope you can take some comfort from the feelings expressed by Sara and Gabe on their experiences. There are many others on Jigidi who have come through similar experiences and I am sure that you will have the strength to do the same. I think we can all understand that you will not be around quite as much for a time but please don't be a stranger . . . remember that your Jigidi friends (and I know there are many of them) will be here to support you. Even if you don't feel like playing just let us know how you are doing. Give those girls a big hug from me and (((HUGS))) to you my friend.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Wingnut. Nobody needs an unhappy home. Both sasaco and gabecyr had great advice, which I cannot improve on.

Astrid, I'm with you in spirit...and my spirit sees many alongside me holding you. As I remember, it's the death of the dreams and hopes we had when marrying that hurt so....that and the loss of a companion that witnessed our history. Grieve well, hug the kids, breathe, and like Sara said, once you've gotten thru it can be glorious.
Oh Astrid, I'm sooo sorry to hear that....I've been thru a divorce too. In my experience, it hurt like H#LL for awhile and I mourned the demise of the marriage. At some point a "new normal" will come about. I can honestly say looking back, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It's the getting through to the new normal life that sucks. I promise you; you're going to be just fine! I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best!

Kirsten, I was thinking of you when I was typing David B name, because of comments you've made about him in the past. Which, btw, I wholeheartedly agree with!!! My hubby and I watched 1st 2 series and are watching 'Bones' faithfully!

Sorry but it doesn't appear that any of you have come up with the correct answer. Things seem a bit quiet here at the moment but then at this time of year I that's only to be expected with all that Christmas shopping to do . . . I suppose I'd better make a start sometime soon . . . :D)
