I loved this photo. The dog looks like he's feeling what I always feel gzing at the ocean. But you all? Gilligan, poems, literature, Flipper, Wilson, communing......so many wonderful, thought provoking and absolutely nutty captions! Thanks so much to all of you!!
Thanks a lot FF
I saw the last part of the quote in another puzzle here on Jigidi. For me it was the perfect quote at the perfect time of my life to receive it. I did some googling and found the book (even got it on eBay - heck a 1st edition for only about $15). I read it - yep a guy - and thought it would be great for my daughter. Shhhhh. She's getting it for Christmas.
I think it's the kind of book where you'll keep finding new things each time you read it.
I'll read it again before my daughter gets it in a couple weeks.
Flipper is late again for playing catch. Dolphins may be smart, but they can't tell time worth a crap.
Dog says: "Wilson....looks like it's just you and me now".
(movie Castaway, with Tom Hanks)
like, that is simply wonderful prose and I have just added it to my wish list for Christmas.(Hope it's not too late!). Thankyou :-)Jan, this is just THE most beautiful and smile provoking image. Thankyou, too.
Archie, once again, contemplated his strategy for his fifth try at swimming the English Channel.
Love it, likenumbers.
Sweet, not the sea, the dog.
Loved that book, like. :)
?The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed, but lack of faith. Patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches. Patience and faith. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach?waiting for a gift from the sea.?

Title: Communicating with My Creator.
Ooh, is that a CATfish?
It was 3 weeks since Alfie had sent his message in a bottle to the pet food store. If he didn't get his UPS delivery soon he was going to be driven to eating his favourite ball.Aaw, poor Alfie! :-(
I can't top jcarroll and ringleader. I can't even come close to their perfect captions.
I must go down to the sea again,
The lonely sea and the sky.
And all I ask is a tall ship
And a star to steer her by.
WAITING FOR THE MASTER WHO IS OUT TO SEA.
The smartest passenger on the S. S. Minnow, took his ball and waited on the other side of the island and was rescued in a matter of hours. Poor Gilligan!
