One moment I was snapping this turkey & the next there was a grey blur as our cat flew across the yard & chased it away!

Just youthful exuberance I think Aggie!!! She's 18 months old - & fearless!!

You've got a brave cat Rob.

Thanks Joy!
Luckily they just visit Shirley - & cause mayhem when they do!!
LOL!!! Good story Gail!! I can just imagine Toomey's face!!! Layla just charged this one - but I get worried when she spots the males - they have killer claws!! They're not known for attacking - but I still worry. Thanks Gail :))

Years ago, my house bordered a small park. I had a cat named Toomey who snuck up behind a huge goose that had landed in the park. She got about three feet away when, all of a sudden, the goose flipped around, raised its wings and gave this incredibly loud HONK!!!! at her. You never saw a cat turn tail and run faster than Toomey. I'm glad this turkey didn't do to your cat what the goose did to Toomey. Great photo, Rob. Thanks.

Good to have them visit, Rob, so long as he doesn't build a nest, they make huge mounds, and will wreck your garden. Thanks for the post Rob.

Funny story, Robin! Such an interesting turkey and so different from those around here. Thanks for catching him before you cat interfered!

Looks like a buzzard in a turkey body.

Thanks fodus!! We see these every couple of months - & they always get the local birds screeching.
