You're welcome SharonAnn, glad I bought back fond memories for you:)
This is Moraine Lake, in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, in Banff National Park. It is a beautiful spot and I miss seeing it. Thank you for the beautiful picture of it.
Our tent would work for me here, just fine!
You must have been in Ft. Worth. Dallas rivals New York in fashionistas. But everyone does love their boots! You should come around November or so, when it isn't hot, and not so bad weather. If we get any cold weather, it's usually only a couple days, and that's mostly in February. Come on down! We'll have us a hoedown in the barn!
I may take you up on that one day tex but I'll wait until the weather cools down first!!! You know what I do remember about Texas? It fascinated me to see everyone walking down the street wearing boots (with designs on them) and wearing large texan hats. I still have that image in my head after all these years.....haha. Funny what one remembers!!!
Yay! But you didn't see me, so it would be even bigger and better now! Just kidding. You'd be welcome anytime.
I've actually been to Texas, tex - and I remember saying at the time that texas was the 'biggest and the best' and I meant it!!!!
Well come back again, Chookies and see Texas! I'll be your guide.
Interesting story tothy...glad you dropped by and paid a visit...I too was very fortunate to visit Banff and the Canadian Rockies many years ago but I was not as fortunate as you to stay in a very expensive Resort as I was on a working holiday around Canada. My accommodation was one very small tent. Nevertheless I had a wonderful trip all through Canada and the USA and saw some remarkable scenery and met some very colorful and interesting people!!!
Thanks for your last set...Very nice...We were very fortunate to visit Banff about 10 years ago, The company my wife worked for closed for a week and sent all the employees and there spouses to Banff...We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Resort...Needless to say the economy was much better then...
The company is no longer in business... I wonder why????
Looks a little bit like Lake Louise?? Great picture!
I have a traditional table puzzle of this.
