Thanks, cevas. Sue was mailing a a package at the post office while I was sitting in the van. Then I picked up my camera and walked over to this building and started taking pictures. The front of the building was painted wood and I didn't think very pretty. This side is nice but barely noticeable unless you would walk by.
And whizbang, the masonry is in good shape but anything but new.
Talked to friend in town this afternoon. He said that the owner has been trying to sell this building for a long time. Still a depressed market, I guess.
I think the wall is beautiful, too, milady. Unfortunately, I know nothing of the history of individual buildings around here. They have a museum here in town. I'll go check next time the museum is open.
The stone wall is beautiful. Do you have any idea when it was built? Do you have an historical preservation organization in your area? At least you've preserved it in pictures. Thanks.
