The only thing I was referring to was when someone posts seven or eight names in as many comments right in a row. If you combine them and post that, you can tell if anyone else has commented meanwhile, and it will be safe to delete all the extra ones. I wasn't talking about older posts being removed. What you said about giving more than one name at the same time was what I was referring to. I didn't mean to cause any disharmony, just trying to make it easier for everyone. Thanks, Trouble.

Gemstone, after Jigidi changed servers and did their upgrades last year, you now have to take an extra step to see that your comment has been deleted. If you delete your comment, it won't show it's been deleted until you refresh your screen (the up and down arrows at the top of your screen). Then it will show that it was deleted. It took me a while to figure that one out.

I don't expect anyone to delete previous postings as they will be lost forever . . . It's only if you are going to give more than one name at the same time can you please list them in the same posting. When you return later just post your new guesses and leave your old post where it is. . . :D)

I'd be very careful about deleting Gemstone. Make sure your guess is posted before anyone that guessed subsequently. Otherwise, just start a new post.

To be quite honest, once it was posted I didn't think you could delete it as I tried once and it didn't work. Guess I'll have to try monkeying around again. Once you delete your old posting does your guess stay in the same order? Otherwise someone who used your guess without seeing if it's been used, comes up as having guessed first.

Joan, before I enter a guess, I quickly scroll down over the answers to make sure it hasn't been guessed earlier. I find there are some who enter guesses which have already been put on the 'incorrect' list by Froggy. In a puzzle the other day, I put in a guess and then later on 3 others guessed the same person???

Never thought of it, Octomom. Thanks for the tip! I sometimes use the search function to see if someone's been guessed, although quite often I don't and find myself repeating guesses. Control F and enter the name.

Is there some way that people who make repeated guesses, such as the ones below that have around 13 comments from just two people, could combine their guesses when they think of new ones, especially when there are no intervening comments? I have to admit that it's one of the major reasons I don't frequent your puzzles more often. It's too time-consuming to have to scroll through so many answers. I carefully allot time for myself to scroll through puzzles, create and solve them, and join in communicating with Jigidi friends. If I make a guess and then think of another person, I will combine my guesses into one puzzle and then delete the previous comment(s). Just a thought to make it easier for everyone to get involved in your marvelous creations. Thanks for listening.
