I'll be fine, will find a couple of new horses in August.
It's a very nice thing to do, but I'm sorry for you!! Thanks so very much Sue!!
My quarterhorse hardly had a winter coat at all. In August I will find 2 new ones. It is odd to look out and see none. Field will enjoy a break for 4 months if I can last that long.
Mine are in various stages of shedding right now. The 3 Gypsy Vanners still look like shaggy dogs. Their winter coats can get a couple of inches long! The others (Morgan, Appaloosa, Paint & Quarab) are patchy at best.
Of course I am barefoot, Gail. Still in my nighty as well. LOL Just wanted to brush out some more hair and comb his tail, Bill caught the photos. Thanks Anita. He is a big boy, almost 3/4 of a ton.Hi Jo. He will be happy. He recognized the place and almost dragged me up the driveway. One of the horses there was with him before. He will settle in again and they use the same vet. I will buy/find 2 new ones in August. Have decided to let the pasture try to grow a little, no rain to amount to much for years because we have had no hurricane activity. It needs a rest as do my purse strings, so am taking a 4 month break. First time in 43 years I have been "horseless". Odd.Thanks HorseMom. Odd winter this year.
What wonderful photos !! I wish him much happiness in his "new" home! Much luck to you too, in finding new companions!! hugs, Jo!!! :)
He's beautiful, sue.
This photo collage will be a nice memory for you, Sue. Are you out there barefoot?
My five are still "two tone" color also. The winter hair seems to be hanging on. Thanks for the pic.
He is a captured Mustang and I have already clipped it 3 times since January. It is finally falling out now. Soon he will be sleek.
Same thing at our place. My Mini horses have ten times the hair of my Quarter Horse. I saw a very selective Blackbird carefully sorting through the corral for the Mini mare's white mane hair.
When my 6 start losing their winter coats, I think the birds and cotton tail rabbits stand in line for the hair to line their nests and burrows...........
