Of course, snooker. I will try to help you out.

Very nice, lj. Speaking of mourning doves, I have a pic from BillyBob to post later today and he thinks it is a baby morning dove. Would you look at it and see if he is correct? Also another pic that may be some type of sandpiper. Maybe you can identify it for sure too. Both pics were taken in S. Ontario. Will be later this afternoon before I post.

I saw the hawk on my way to work this morning. He was in a tree in my front yard. The birds in my back yard fled for their lives.

laurajane

Today, there on the ground, are the feathers of a mourning dove. I guess the hawk that is hanging around got a meal.

So pretty....Haven't seen my cardinals for awhile... but the wind has been blowing so hard I can't keep food in the feeder. So they may be feeding from the ground and I can't see them.. Maybe this summer I can get the big feeder fixed.

patsquire

Could just be regional differences. My cardinals here in Alabama are all much stronger red than this guy.

laurajane

Funny you should mention that, PG. Today I looked at 5 cardinals out back and thought that they looked redder than I have seen them for a long time.

photogent

My cardinals look a lot lighter not as deep red. I guess they got caught in the rain.

You are most welcome, tex!

texasstar7

Excellent! Thanks, LJ.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting, Patti, morris, and PK716! Cardinals are always a splash of color in dreary winter.

What is the other fuzzy lookin' thing below it?
