Thanks, Quartina! My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Wallace so I know I have roots in Scotland! Grandma said her father's kin came to America from Scotland around 1735. I correspond every Christmas with a delightful 98-year-old lady who lives in Montrose Angus...no kin...she was a widow and married a widower friend of mine who was a photo-journalist in WWII. He carried his first wife's ashes to Scotland to cast them there and met his second wife; her husband had been a historian and she was trying to finish his last book.
