Beautiful flowers. I'm glad the roses survived the frost. Today I walked by the little tree I posted as a little puzzle a while ago. There were just a few leaves left.
It sounds like your autumn is more subtle than ours. Not much happening here as far as trees changing colors but it's still early yet.
In November, 2007, Sue and I went down to northern Arkansas and the trees down there were spectacular. As I recall, that year, autumn lasted a really long time.
We took a few pictures with our old film camera. The next month we bought a digital camera.
The flowers are still very, very pretty and a nice setting to see. It's actually very 'grayish' here today. Early this morning I took some pics of cumulonimbus clouds in the NW. Looking West we usually just see the accumulation of moisture off the Pacific so, strange as it may seem, seeing the first Big Whites in the West is our sign that Autumn is beginning to arrive for us.
The roses did fine with our first frost but the white flowers not protected by the roses wilted.
