DelSol, I knew that! And the bird is the Meadowlark, yes? I love Wyoming! Is that where you live? Jacques, my dear heart, thanks so much. It's beautiful just like you and doesn't smell badly either! Thank you, RR, you always see them together in fields here. And thanks, Warbler, you'll be sick of them before I get through posting them!
Patti, Svediga, Anitas, Jeanniegirl & Cel, thanks! It's that time of year, my favorites. Anitas, there is another one that folks call paintbrushes, too, it just depends on where you live, I guess. I know what you mean, though, they have more yellow in them, yes?
Danke je, Elina, I like that color too. Anitas, it is Indian Paint Brush, another wildflower, as Granny Goat Lady just expressed. GGL, that's so sad, we're supposed to have an abundance here, and I have already seen them at the airport. These were on the way to Ennis. I'm going back in a few days to get more photos. Thanks.
