Quilt, I'm sure it was a typo on Luulla. Those of us who walked the earth while the crust was cooling can remember the wild roses. There is still a very large patch near my house and it has both pink and yellow wild roses. We had only the yellow ones where I grew up.
Looks like an old fashioned rose to me. My grandfather had huge rose bushes when I was young (back before the earth's crust cooled) and they were similar to these. Very few petals and I remember he had jars near them to catch the Japanese bettles. He told me they were destroying the roses. Nice puzzle. Thanks for sharing.
Quartina., you are so right on. It was listed on Luulla as a Peony, not a rose and I don't see any thistle, they must have put the wrong title on this set. Glad you enjoyed it.
