The Weighbridge Inn
The present day footpath and bridlepath by the pub was part of a packhorse trail in the 17th Century, when this pub dates from. The pub gets its name from the weighbridge used by the local woolen mills, and was the responsibility of the inn keeper. Old farming implements, tools, carriage lamps and old keys adorn the interior, where huge log fires give a warm welcome. It also happens to serve fabulous food, and is my favourite pub!
