Thanks, Tex. Great photo & puzzle................

Chookies, that style fence was used a lot back in the early settlement of our continent. You can tell by the design that it pretty much supported itself---no need for fence posts. Sometimes the joints would be secured with wire, rope, even rags but these materials were often very scarce & hard to come by. And the rails were as near as the forest & didn't have to be building quality logs. One more great thing about them---almost every section could be a gate. Just let down & swing around the logs in a corner & let the cattle, horses, or wagon come through! Just thought you would be interested..............

I know, can you imagine how fresh the air must be?

Me too! It would renew the soul! (and rest the sole, too)

Oh, how tempting to walk around barefoot and squish my toes in the grass and dirt.

Ahh. I see now. We're long distance cabin posters- your has a nicer yard than mine. And it looks like two rooms and a loft. Nice! Thanks Tex.
