Local Canada Geese

I love to hear the geese as they fly overhead! I guess they are calling to any latecomers to hurry up and join the group. Thanks JC.

We have a large (100+ bird) non-migrating flock that has taken up residence at an large pond in an office park a couple of blocks from here. They make a pretty good alarm clock as they leave the pond every morning in search of food. They have also caused a traffic jam or two as they like walking across a six lane avenue to simply get to the other side. Why they can't fly across is anyone's guess.

We used to live near a pretty good size pond - otters, fish.... And the geese LOVED this place. They, of course, would leave geese pellets EVERYWHERE and we had to honk and sometimes get out and shoo them to be able to drive on our street!
But, in the air, they are beautiful! Thanks, JC
