Gail - I lived in Tecate - 18 miles east of Tijuana right on the border. A town known, at that time, only for it's brewery and the health resort. I worked at the health resort. But, that's where I learned Spanish and my appreciation for the Mexican people! I have never been to Guanajuato. But, I still visit Mexico as much as I can - usually Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. That's funny about the French words! Did you live in France, too? Or are you French?

Michelle - Molasses is GOOD! LOL That's what I do on so MANY puzzles! I'm glad you liked the frayed edges. You will probably see more until I get the computer program fixed!

Jim - I hope they were good memories. It is very much a southwestern design. Thank you!

Gaillou

Where in Mexico did you live? I studied one summer in Guanjuato. I don't speak Spanish anymore. Whenever I try French words come out. LOL!

Reminds me of Arizona when I'd visit my parents. That's some past memories.

I love the texture on this! The frayed edges with the natural looking fading...way cool one, Jan! (Mind you, I was as slow as old molasses.,.3:40)

Katie - thanks so much! You made me laugh!

Gail - I hadn't thought of the textural element! Thanks so much. I agree - a lot of Mexican folk art here! (I lived in Mexico for two years and loved it!)

Ardy - Nope, after breakfast we made a Goodwill run and now it's back to business. I am glad you enjoyed this! :D

Jan, I had a comment right after "Elfie". I guess I didn't post it. GRRR. That which was left after the moths were in this is beautiful, bright, and fun. I hope that while you were out you got some moth balls to protect the rest of your creations. Thank you. This is truly delightful.

Gaillou

I thought it looked like Mexican folkart. I like the frayed look, Jan. It gives it some nice textural features.

I think those edges look feathered. I like the different look Jan! And they're still boards after all.

Hanne - I LOVE that image! Thanks so much! :D

Jan - that is EXACTLY it, especially with the "fringe!" Thank you.

Ank - I am smiling right back at you! thanks!

Thanks so much, PJ and Pat - with the destruction of my framing program (GRRR), I had to try new things. I'm glad you don't think it's too weird! (I'll tell the moths hello from you, PJ. lol)

bradjan

Sort of reminded me of a Mexican Serape.

With a smile

Elfie

Like flowers standing close in a flowerbed!! Thanks so very much Jan!!

I've heard of stone-washed jeans with that naturally frayed look, but not kaleidoboards...! Cool new look, Jan--love it! :-)

puzzlejan

Give a smile to the moths - I enjoyed the shredded variant, Jan. It meant a bit more time but solving was fun, and the boards were filled with fine colors.
