Picture 2 is up and running . . . I have carried both your guesses forward . . . :D)

Anagony, great Alfred Hichcock guess....you beat me to it! Hopkins is playing him in the upcoming movie. Anyhoo, back to the drawing board!

saraco

Anthony Hopkins

Antagony

I made exactly the same mistake at first gemstone. The lack of a clearly defined nose on either side, and the odd position of (what appears to be) the mouth, makes it really hard to tell. :^)

A few wild and varied guesses:

Vincent Schiavelli
Jack Lemon
Alfred Hichcock
Brent Spiner

Sylvester Stallone? that one eye we can see (no pun) looks sleepy to me. In my mind, I'm trying to turn his (or her) face to the right to fill in the indentation. It's not working, duh! So, instead of focusing (no pun) on one thing in the picture and google the hell out of it, I'm going to wait until another celebrity comes to mind OR Mistress of the Cement Pond posts the next picture!!

gemstone

LOLOLOLOL Just realized that I was seeing the picture as a profile facing left rather than facing right. Thought his right ear was actually his right eye!

Trouble_and_Frog

I am so sorry . . . I could have sworn I'd done the 1pm (UK) update . . . better late than never I suppose so here it comes . . . :D)

(No correct answer)

gemstone

Benjamin Franklin?

Jack Nicholson

gabecyr

What a challenge! So.....
Victoria Beckham, Miley Cyrus, Rhianna, Donald Trump (love that guess) or Lady Gaga

saraco

Michael Ironside--character actor was in Top Gun and some other movies
Kelsey Grammar--maybe the Wizard of Morph turned his blue eyes brown

Heidihopes

Maybe it's just because Thanksgiving is coming up but the person in this photo looks like pilgrim. Unfortunately, I can't think of any famous pilgrims or anyone who played a pilgrim on tv.

It also looks like Abe LIncoln. Ok I give up til next time.

gemstone

Someone from The Roundhead Days?

John Lithgow...noooo, he has blue eyes.

juneshone

Surreal_Heidi

I'll now go sit on the bench and wait for the next picture. Hopefully it will look less like Joseph Merrick (the Elephant Man).

Surreal_Heidi

Jonathan Pryce?

I agree.... Salvatore Dali, eat your heart out!

justjoan

Seriouly? I can't even make out where the second eye is. Looks like his nose is beside his eye. An ape from Planet of the Apes? I'll throw out a coulple name based on that bit of fluff that looks like hair.
David Caruso
Conan O'Brien

saraco

Thanks....I like your Jim Carry guess!

vleugelmoer

congrat sara on the previous one!!
for this one i shout out...jim carry

saraco

That one little eye looks like it could be Jack Nicholson.

pdevredis

Larry of the Three Stooges?

ladyblue

Aggie, you said my only guess. I think I'm going to have to wait for pic 2 on this one! :)

BarbH

Stephen Hawking

Robert Redford

BarbH

How about Arnold Schwarzenegger without his Terminator parts?

Too much hair to be Patrick Stewart without his Borg parts.

I can also see a bit of Robin Williams.

aggie

Bob Hope?

tigress

You know, that's a pretty good guess, Antagony .... I can almost see Stan Laurel here too. :-)

Antagony

Good grief... eat your heart out, Salvador Dali! :^D

Oh I dunno... Stan Laurel maybe?

RandomWorship

The elephant man?

tigress

Who can tell? Looks like he's missing half his face. Will have to ponder this for a bit. :-)))

Trouble_and_Frog

Not just a puzzle, but a game as well. See if you can guess who the celebrity is. The face has been distorted and will be made clearer until a correct guess is given or I run out of photos . . . in which case I WIN!!! LOL

I hope to update the pictures at around 1pm and 10pm each day (UK time) and I will pop in from time to time to check on progress . . . have fun

Please feel free to make as many guesses as you want but if you are making multiple guesses at the same time could you please combine them to a single comment. This makes it easier for others to read through them and, more importantly, makes it easier for me to compile the incorrect list . . . thank you . . . :D)
