juneshone

I guess he's feeling a little blue, and pleeeese don't ask a little blue what?

lelabugosi

......or a carpet........
Anyway, I'm glad we've cleared up that little misunderstanding........

Plumpossum

Then again, maybe Lela was laying a trap. Or an egg.

patsquire

I know what you mean. "Without my coffee" is a terrible condition in which to be. It's a fine excuse for almost any slip-up.

lelabugosi

That was a jigidi glitch.....I had typed "without laying down my coffee" but the words "without my coffee" disappeared.....(must be something to do with jigsaws and coffee going together)....

patsquire

Well excuuuuuuuuuse me! "PRECIOUS PAPIER-MACHE FRAMES" seem to make all the difference, then! Eh?

Lemme tellya sumpin, Bugosi. If you weren't allus stretchin' da truth like yado I might not be so inclined to callya a liar like I do. Y'gitit? Huh? Don't fergit, Christmas is comin' and Santa's got his eye on you!

...and it's "lying" down, not "laying" down. Sheesh!

lelabugosi

I WILL NOT TAKE THIS SLANDER LAYING DOWN!.....Right, now I am on my feet......
'Mr.'Squirt........As I stated - "These beautiful portraits, being made available to the public for the first time......" - This is the first time these FRAMED portraits have been made available FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC .........The pictures have appeared before, with their stories........BUT NOT ENCASED IN THESE PRECIOUS PAPIER-MACHE FRAMES!........
So there........

patsquire

Hot-Lips Bugosi I have never either seen or heard of. However, Percy I remember vividly. How is it, then, that the claim, "These beautiful portraits, being made available to the public for the first time...." holds ANY WATER AT ALL, coming as it does from the LEAKY BUCKET of FIBS that we call lelabug?

If you don't remember, or hadn't yet visited Bugosiland back then, for verification you may check out:

There's old Percy, same photo and all. So "first time" indeed!

My, my lelabug, you are such a compulsive prevaricator, a devious deceiver, a fibbing fabricator, a falsifying fabulist and a shifty equivocator, filled with all the subterfuges of a slinking, skulking, treacherous tomcat!

lelabugosi

The reason for my luminously luminous appearance is that I am in disguise.....to fool the evil loolabagoosi.........(it seems to be working)......
never-munching-furniture......Thank you......you are very perceptive in your perceptabilitiousness.....
Back-in-Bermuda.....beards are for small cats, not birds.....or ferrets......
precious-pebble....I hope you have now eaten....

Robbiel

What a splendid pair Lela, I know Jenny would like a set for her room, I don't have room on the wall.........mind you, the beards could make nice nests for some of my birds!!

pdevredis

Lela's g l o w i n g...........!

gemstone

Whaaaat??? They're just for snuggling!!! perhaps, maybe, as well as...

grannygoatlady

Thank you, Maestro, for sharing your Illustrious Family Tree with us...It's plain to see that these two Hirsute Heros arrayed in their Sartorial Splendor was the Foundation of a Glorious Line....And from it, such Celebrated Progenies as great-uncle Albertus (with his beard of distinction only beginning) and Yourself have arisen..............

lelabugosi

No, was-shining...... that would be Wendell Bugosi, who kept his two cats in his beard, and will be reappearing soon....
precious-pebble......I hope you don't eat ferrets also, as well, too!.....

jangel

Floating around in the ether again, Mr. B?....

gemstone

Where do you think your ferret wound up, june?

juneshone

hope he doesn't keep animals in that beard

lelabugosi

Yes, it's much better to just float around in the ether........

jangel

Mr. B, it's an original "Wendy 13"!....I'm very proud of it, but certainly hope there will be no descending on my part, in cans or not!!...

lelabugosi

precious-pebble....I think you have said more than enough.....but do tell us more......

lelabugosi

messenger-with-a-letter.......you are certainly 'spreading the light' with your new ,incandescent, avatar......Yes, the Bearded Bugosis were the predecessors of TT Zop!...
pd-whateveritis.....some of these stories will still be here, others will have gone, so it's a sort of revisit, with frames!....

gemstone

I was just questioning "figuratively"...phhhfffffttt...phhhfffffttt...eeewwww...black feathers stuck in your teeth! I would never literally follow through...they have such a musical voice (cough, cough).
And, actually, I begged Mariolyn to step in and SAVE Robbie's dad (as they seemed to have a summer "thing" going when she visited). I'm just naturally nos...inquisitive!

buckeye425

The Bugosis are certainly a colorful bunch!

jangel

Precious Pebble, weren't you just lusting for Robbie's father's blood yesterday?....and today killing Wicca??....Are these the signs we're supposed to notice right before someone goes all Deffrey Jahmer on us?.....

gemstone

Beaten by a crow...does that mean I have to "eat crow"?

jangel

Eat your hearts out, TT Zop!!!

pdevredis

You have no idea how happy it made me to see that "#1" on the title, for it is a promise of even more delights to come!!!!!!

I remember the tale ofPercy, but not of Horatio--I'm so glad I heard it now!

lelabugosi

Hee-Hee....you were top for a spell!....

wicca

Looky everybody!!!!!!! ....I MADE THE BOARD!!!!!! I get to have my 3 minutes of fame anyway..............

lelabugosi

These beautiful portraits, being made available to the public for the first time, would adorn any study, bedroom, living-room or outhouse with style and sophistication, the Bugosi way.......
Percy Rinpoche spent nearly a lifetime of 'spiritual retreat' in the mystical land of Shangri-la. At the age of 9, disillusioned with western materialism, he left Brixton in search of enlightenment, crossing the English channel in a bamboo canoe of his own making. Upon reaching France he boarded the Orient Express, bound for the mystical east, a journey which he later described as 'murder'. Making his way to the Himalayas, on a donkey, with only his boy scout compass to guide him, he finally, at the age of 12 reached his destined destination of his destiny, and remained there for 66 years,6 months and 6 days, by which time he decided that he was now sufficiently enlightened to return to 'Old Blighty'. On the way, he encountered the Lalai Dama retreating from the Communist invasion of Tibet, and gave him a lift on his donkey....making a slight detour to India. The extra weight proved too much for the octogenarian donkey, and he passed from this world, having guided the Lalai Dama to safety. As Percy had no money whatsoever at all, he walked all the way to France and boarded a P & O liner bound for England. Within sight of the straits of Dover, in his excitement he slipped on a banana skin, and to the cries of "BEARD OVERBOARD" disappeared into the sea, to be seen no more. He was 83 years old.
Horatio's lasting claim to fame was as the undisputed blow-football champion of Missouri from the years 1923-1958, thus his nom-de-plume 'hot-lips'. Once he 'took to the field' there was no way to remove the straw from his lips until the referee blew the final whistle. The referee did blow 'the final whistle' one fateful day in October 1958, when Horatio collapsed on the pitch,(or table) struggling for breath. He was taken off on a stretcher and recovered, but never again was he to 'put straw to mouth'. He continued smoking 5 packs a day, as he believed it gave his lungs 'something to do'.
The blow-football association tried to get him banned from the game in 1939, alleging that he never conceded a goal due to his beard obstructing the goalmouth. The case actually got as far as the Supreme Court, where the judge ruled in his favour, as to remove his beard would be an infringement of man's basic rights (to have a ridiculously long beard)....
