This is beautiful, but, my, I didn't realise you could eat em! I know you can eat nasturtium leaves in a salad - they taste peppery, and violets in biscuits, but didn't know about these!
I love this colour chickie, nice puzzle. A farmer in Cape Breton told me to take some buds just before they open, fry lightly in oil and butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper and they taste like a hint of corn on the cob!! I tried it and he was right! Delicious with a taste of another veg but I cannot remember which. One problem was I didn't have enough for another meal! Try them if you can.
Chickie, what happens in Altoona stays in Altoona, but nothing ever happens in Altoona! LOL! Seriously, what trouble can Susan get into with 3 young granddaughters? Should I alert the state police? the National Guard? the Canadian Air Force? LOL!
BTW, Susan just left for Pennsylvania. No, my sense of humor didn't push her over the edge! Our first grandson will be born any day now, so she went to help out and visit the 3 granddaughters (3,6 & 8, I think). I elected to stay home and watch the animals and do various projects.
