When I was in junior high my next door neighbor had one. We thought it was ugly with that really boxy rear. I would enjoy having one now though!
Thank you, I enjoyed completing this puzzle and I liked the challenge of putting a lot of pieces together. What a beautiful masterpiece.
Few people these days will know what "HT convertible" means, JBoy. That whole square on the back surface was hinged at the rear, so it could raise up at the front, and then the WHOLE HARDTOP of the car tilted up at the front and slid gracefully down into where the trunk would be, and the rear deck closed again. Voila! Convertible! The miracle of Detroit '50s engineering.Too bad you posted this in so many pieces. It would be fun for a lot of folks to do at something under 100.
