Black Bear - Alaska - in our campground

Our guide failed to mention that about the bears! We did purchase a great photo of one in a shop in Cody--Leslie took the pic in the Denali many years ago. Guess that's as close as I'll get! (Yes--stupidity on the part of the tourists--foreign, I guess...couldn't read the warning signs posted everywhere!)

I use to feed the bears at YNP years ago when they would "greet" you at the entrance, young and dumb, hopefully I have matured some.

Just don't feed the bears, ok.....

Bear sightings in YNP are very rare, as soon as a bear is seen it is caged and trucked/airlifted way into the outback. Buffalo/bison and elk hurt tourist's every year, these people were trying to get the kids to "pet" the buffalo, stupidity knows no bounds.............

Looked all over Yellowstone for a bear--never saw one. Just saw a news report where some kids tangled with a Bison, tho! Kinda silly!
