Update :-)

May each and every person who has been following this story find a blessing, and a ray of sunshine, and a bit of wisdom that has been shared by fellow Jigidiers in their comments they have left.

In case the comment below is missed somehow on the other puzzles.....please allow me to post it on each of the adventures of Callie Lou and her brother............

I am THANKFUL for soooooooooooo many things!!!!!!!! I stumbled into Jigidi not so long ago. Not only has Callie Lou found a community filled with support, well wishes, wisdom, sharing, caring, tips and warmth, it has become so evident to me too :-)))))))))) I am so thankful for Jigidi and all of its wonderful people. What a great way for everyone to start off the new year. I am thrilled to have been part of Calli Lou's and her brothers life and the oppertunity to share it with the world. For such tiny pups, they have indeed traveled all around the world. The love that wasn't there from their beginning has now been multiplied beyond count and we all embrace their future with high hopes. I am so greatful for Libby welcoming Callie into her home and heart!!!!! My husband stands tall in my eyes for all that he has done for these little guys. His very first emergency trip to the vets office to find something to combat the fleas, another trip that night for oatmeal shampoo aftr learning fleas might could jump 6 feet LOL LOL LOL, the early morning visit to the vet to get their first shots and deworming, the trips to fetch food and toys LOL, his tender heart, and his patience with me through all this, makes him one special guy in my book!!!! He has always been good to me. God blessed me with my husband and our son and He has always had His hand in my life!!!!! I learned a good while back that when we ask of Him things and it seems that He doesn't answer, that we are often asking for the wrong things. I am sure many of you have seen this in your lives too? Sometimes we just need to change what we are asking for and then do some searching for what He has already provided for us. He has promised to supply us with every need. We just have to do our part and search out those supplies that He already has in place.

I am delighted that the story of these two little pups have touched so many lives. I am thankful for each of you that have shared in their journey and best of all, we all have something good to look forward to because of Libby. Who could ask for more? LOL

I have been following this event all along. Don't know about the itchy skin but I would like to comment about the pens & cages. I am quite claustrophobic & seems to me being confined in a locked cage would be similar to a box (I freak out if I am pinned helpless even in play!). I have always hated the thought of an animal having no chance to escape in the event of a catastrophe, whether it be fire, flood, earthquake, shipwreck, predator, etc., etc., etc. I almost begin to hyperventilate at the very thought. I will not even have a bird for this reason and I have a dog that I wouldn't trust with a free flying one in the house since they would not have grown up together. So, anyway, I'm glad you did not let her go there. Besides, I would wonder why they have so many & keep them in cages/pens. Puppy mill, maybe?..............

When I got my dog several years ago, he had a major dandruff problem that did not respond to anything I tried until I thought to try giving him wheat germ oil. He has now been getting it for a few months, and his dandruff is almost gone. Maybe the wheat germ oil would help the itching?

Hi Kathy - it certainly sounds like you've been involved in a long-running puppy saga... I'm so pleased things appear to be working out so well for everyone involved... the photos are gorgeous, and if only I lived somewhere dog friendly, this is exactly the dog I would want!! I googled around a bit to try to find out about you dry skin problem, and the best advice I found is here... mostly similar things to what friends have already suggested in the comments below..

I live in Maryland, if I lived closer I would come get her in a flash. We had to have our dog of 14 years put down a little over a month ago and our home feels a little empty. I pray that Bella finds a good home and I am glad that she didn't go to a home that puts dogs in cages. I'm thankful that you and your husband were able to rescue them and provide care for them while they wait for new homes.

Kittenlove, like I told Roerick, I am ever so slowly trying to make a personal contact with everyone to say Thank You for being here and for your support, but no puzzles to leave my little note. Hope you find this and know that we wish you a wonderful New Year and so glad that you enjoy solving puzzles. Not much need for the ones of us to create them if there isn't anybody out there that likes to solve them LOL While I have been visiting many pages tonight, I am seeing lots of people with a real knack at solving puzzles. It is a joy to create and to know that someone else also gets enjoyment out of solving the puzzles :-)))))))))))

Roerick, I was trying to leave a comment on each person's page under one of their puzzles, but.......well........ LOL.......when I got to yours......LOL.........well........ LOL......We must get together and get you some programs so you can have fun playing with them too LOL Let me know what I can do to get you started whenever you are ready :-) BTW.....thank you for sharing in this adventure with the two puppies. Just wanted to add my two cents and gratitude for not letting her go to a family that places their dogs in pens. That's not where any dog belongs. I hope you find a good home for her--would take her in a heartbeat but live in Mn. and in a cottage complex with a 30lb. pound dog max. Disheartning for those of us who like large dogs. Hope you have a wonderful New Year and 2013 is as wonderful as you deserve.

One of the things I do for dry skin is put a little safflower oil on their food...it is high in Vitamin E...I've had 3 Goldens... water dogs, and have dry itchy skin...unfortunately it's a long-term kind of solution. She is going to scratch for a few more days, when I get a bite the itchiness lasts several days, too! Clever idea about the light sesame oil !
I am in Charlotte, NC...just a hop and skip north of you! You have no idea how hard it has been for me to just let things unfold...not my nature! ;-) Was thinking back on my life, and realized there have been no more than 5 years of my life I have not had a dog! I am almost wishing this trucker falls through, but I know what it's like to loose them, and the HUGE hole they leave in one's heart that was filled by their companionship. Most of the fireworks are over...Roxie is terrified of them and thunderstorms...she shakes and shivers so, just can't settle down! Tonite I am going to try ocean sounds to see if it helps...fingers crossed! ;-)

For those who have wondered, we live in southwest Georgia. Albany, Georgia is about an hour to our north and then Valdosta, Georgia is about and hour south of us. If the trucker guy doesn't work out, I am glad to know that some of you have the heart and the capacity of love to embrace her. While it will pain me dearly to let her go, I want only the best for her. We would be more than glad to meet you halfway if I can not find a suitable forever home around our neck of the woods!

Bella got another bath awhile ago. Since her visit to the vet this morning revealed that her itching is caused from dry skin, I decided to try something. I know that too many baths will dry their skin out even more so I chose the oatmeal shampoo again and then rinsed real well. Next came my experiment which seems to be doing ok. I use unscented Neutrogena Light Sesame Body Oil. It isn't overly greasy and I find that it works wonders for my skin. After rinsing her well, I ran warm water in the tub and squirted some of the oil into the water. I then poured the warm water over her letting her soak up its benefits and towel dried her. I am glad to say that her fur looks really quiet nicely LOL LOL LOL An ever so small tinge of grease but not really even noticeable. Hubby did not even notice it when he got home awhile ago LOL It was an experiment that thankfully turned out well. Don't know if it will completely stop the itching, but hopefully will give her some relief. Has anyone ever tried anything like this before? Or anyone know anything to use for dry skin on a puppy?????? I will let everyone know how her scratching is tomorrow and if this seems to help :-)

I am so glad someone else has said something against putting dogs in pens! Then they're "just dogs" and not family members! I was smitten with her the moment I first saw her, and it has taken ALL my self control not to jump at the chance to adopt her myself. I even left a comment earlier, then deleted it...only because I don't know how fair it would be to Roxie now that she is enjoying "top dog" status! I have faith it will all work out, just know there's a backup out here if you need one! ;-)))

I have always been told you should never advertize a dog as "free" as there are people out there that will take the dog just to use them in dog fights! Best to put a price and if they are willing to pay it, then let them have the dog for free. Just saying. Hope your puppy ends up in a good home.

I'm glad you did not sentence her to a life of pens...but I do worry about the pond full of alligators! :(

How can you put a family member in a pen outside? Think you should name her Windstream... Know you are enjoying the last day of 2012 because you have your friends and you are on jigidi...

I did indeed loose my internet last night while trying to get these puzzles out and answering comments. Windstream got another call LOL as I was pretty ticked about the instability of my internet. Work is still going on with the lines but the tech support guy put us down to have a repairman come out today and check everything on our end. Low and behold, MY MODEM has been at fault. The repairman just left and I now have a new modem AND INTERNET!!!!!!!!! YESSS!!!!!!!
