Yes spunky, the cars he works on are rare woodie cars. Like one of a kind, or very expensive Packards, Cadillacs, and very old wood bodied cars. They all run. He does all the restoration. including all the upholstery too. ....Since you asked, I looked up his card, and it has a picture of this very car on it. His name is Joe Griffin's Custom Upholstery and Woodie Wagon Restoration Specialist. Oakland TN.
I have his address and phone, but you will have to contact me to get it. The card does say, "We work to a standard , not to a price"... so I would guess you need a pocket full of money. My mother in law lives just down the road in the next town. That's how I met him. He was advertising in Hemmings at the time. I understand he doesn't advertise any more because he has enough booked up into the future. nice work, and large interesting shop.

That is so cool meeting the person that made this car. The click is very important you're welcome mr_51_vic_ss. Wonder if the wood cars he makes are for driving?

spunky

Thanks osersan

Thanks Spunky. I went to a shop in a little city east of Memphis, TN, to get some upholstery done, and he said that he made the Zippo Car. He showed me some pictures, but I can't remember. Now he only does woodies.....wood cars. Pretty cool. different anyway. I wonder it it clicks? You know the click is important. I saw that on science TV, building Zippo lighters.

Nice find, spunky!
