That's a fun page too, Gayle. Thanks!

Here's a nearby National Historic Site that is slowly competing with the site in Bolivia. http://blog.bubbasgarage.com/2012/05/urban-decay-at-steamtown.html

A surreal end of the line indeed. That's fascinating, Gayle. The place is more interesting to me than the airplane boneyard, but thanks for that too, Pat.

Thanks very much, Gayle, for doing the image tracking on this! Boy, some investors lost a few coins on that venture. But then, the railroad boys had plenty to play with back in the day, didn't they. Reminds me of airplane boneyards, just on a smaller scale and not as orderly as the government would have it. :-)

Aliens! Just like the S.S. Cotopaxi in the Gobi Desert in"Close Encounters of the Third Kind"! (They needed the boiler for their space craft...) To bad the ML boyz are so stingy on the res, it would have been fun as a larger puzzle ('cept that sky!) Thanks Pat!

The train is resting--and rusting--in Bolivia. Here's a little background...

How remarkable that it was all just abandoned in place like that!

Bommom

Yeah, and after you shovel all the sand off the tracks (which will blow back on in an afternoon), you'll have to repair the boiler and replace all the tubes... I'd help you, but I have too much on my plate.

patw

De nada, patomonono.

I can't decide it there is track there to be dug out or some needs to to laid, Gayle! And then that coal needs shoveling.. . . . sigh. :-)

Bommom

You can do it. Just start shoveling coal... Fun puzzle, Pat. :-)

Gracias
