Ank and Shirley.... Sinkholes are common here in Florida, but a hole this deep is an exception. I suppose this made world news. They have one near this place, about a mile away.

Jan, this has been in the news here in Australia too, bad enough when this happens in an open area, but terrible when it takes a persons life.

I am still waiting to see the sinkhole in this home. In this morning's paper it was stated that another one appeared aboout 2 miles for the one in Seffner. Sinkholes are common when there are aquafirs, limestones and sand. This is the first time, I have seen this happen totally inside a house. Thanks for letting me know it made UK news.

Made news in UK too. Can't imagine anything more scary. can't even feel safe in own bed!
