Thank you Maryrob, Shirley and Angelbender.
You got bluebirds before me, chickie. :-O I saw a pair several weeks ago, but it was too cold to get serious. A male was on my peanut feeder yesterday morning, so I'm putting out mealworms in several places in hopes they will nest here again. Bribery might work. :-)) Last year they fledged 5 babies and bossed them around big time until they moved to the thickets across the road. Keep up updated.
I love these little bluebirds, I think they are just so sweet, Thanks chickiemama.
Thank you Adriana, Tatinha and Celeste. They are hard to hear Celeste. Here is a link for their sound. I should have been doing this with all the birds I have posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWA-TGAiCkw
Such pretty little babies :) bet they sing a wonderful song
It's hard to see here ruffled feather birds 'cause the weather. They seem so cute and round this way. Thanks Sandy!
They are so cute- Sandy thank you
They should be 4' - 6' laura. Put them at a level that is easy for you to look inside and to clean out when necessary. Thank you young man.
Great one your chickness and a very cute bunch of the little blues. They are starting to nest down here and it will not be long until the place is hopping.
Do they get put up low to the ground?
Thank you robryan. You have plenty of time laura. I have 6 nest boxes and there are 2 -3 broods in each during the summer. Sometimes a tree swallow or titmouse will use them also. And ofcourse, I have to keep pulling sparrow nests out of them.
Do I still have time to buy one and put it up, chickie? I keep forgetting!
I can't get over the many varieties of birds at your place chickie!! Delightful - thanks.
Thank you oddio, Dottie, Suzy, anitas and Jack.
So lucky to have them nest, Chickie. Beautiful little birds.
A sensational photo. Thank you! (47 seconds this time!) Can't wait for ours to arrive for the summer:)
I love this photo, Chickie! Thank you!!
Great photo.Of course.
Thank you Graciela, lyndee and morris. They are in northern Illinois and Wisconsin lyndee. When I had bluebird houses up there, I never had them nest in them. : ( They are more abundant down here.
Lucky yu, chickie!
They must not come very far north. Or maybe, I have nothing to attract them. (?)
They are so cute chickie, I wish I could see them around here.
Thank you jcarroll, Ank, tex, Hanne, Patti, warbler and Gene.I agree with you Ank, but then I have to deal with skunks, raccoon, opossums and other critters that are a nuisance. The green in the background is winter wheat warbler. And the pair has been pretty territorial over this nest box, so I am pretty sure they will move in. Stay tuned.
Great photo Sandy I must confess these little bluebirds are me favorite along with the gold finch
I just left a comment and saw it there but its gone now, too. I was going to add that its nice to see that GREEN background, too., to I hope the happy couple move in to the cool old house.
Wonderful, Sandy! I love them!
Beauties - so very much!! Thanks so very much Sandy!!
I'd love to have a yardful of these! Beautiful! Thanks.
Beautiful birds Sandy, Just love them. Do they nest there?I was thinking, by your puzzle from yesterday, wouldn't it be better feeding on the ground, so that the birds do not so easily infect?
Spring IS coming! Yay! Thanks, chickie!
