OH, Okay...but this does not look THAT big. Somehow I saw this as only, maybe, 20 inches long. Not the size of a pig or more......

She already said its a capybara. They were imported from S America in the 1800s. Related to the nutria of NW US, also imported back then.

Hair far too thin for an otter.......Otter fur very thick for winter cold.....

It was so much fun watching this animal roll around in the small pond/mud puddle. Later it got up and went for a swim and joined the others.
