It is for purple martins who live in colonies Monica. Thanks for stopping by. hugs
WOW! What a glorious bird house this is, I've never seen one this big before! Nice!
And hopefully soon Suzy.It was very cold that morning robryan.
Just goes to show they're not bird-brains after all chickie!! Looks way too cold!!
If you build it (or in this case put it up) they will come.
They will come when they know there are bugs to be had. They usually come to my brother's a week before they come to mine and he doesn't have them yet. So I am not too worried.
They saw the weather report and stayed down south for another week.
They are all toughing it out on tree limbs until you get their house set up :o)
That's a lot Celeste. Hopefully it will melt soon and the flowers will peek through again. Thank you Dottie. I always wait until I see the scout because otherwise the sparrows take it over. I watch for them.
Nice Purple Martin house, Chickie! Maybe they will wait until you get it put up!
Oh the birdy condo! :) giggles They say we got right at 11" here. Think Laura topped me not by much
You win tex!!! I have been watching for the scout. Hasn't shown up yet. Gee, I wonder why. LOL
I know, I know, is it Purple Martins? Nice pic, Chick!
What kind of bird house is this Chickie? It's a biggie.........a bird motel!
LOL jcarroll. I think laurajane got the brunt of it. Those are daffodils in the background. Thank you Ank, Gene, roseheather, Hanne and Patti.I think that smile is a snicker oddio. Lucky you warbler. I always see the rufus sided towhee right about now picking through the leaves. Haven't seen it yet.
Love the comments! LOL! Can't wait to see it up Chickie!
I thought it was on the pole at first, too and I was impressed!!! Things are showing up here, Chickie. I saw pine warblers, chipping sparrows and a rufous sided towhee today. Thanks
You've got snow AGAIN!! White Easter for you too!! Thanks so very much Sandy!!
I gotta smile a little. They were saying we would get a couple of inches... then is stayed south. We got a dusting and that's it. Sorry about that. :>D
Fun. I too hoped that it was not already on a pole when I saw the thumbnail sized photo. My guess would be daffodils out by the trees.
good post Sandy :)))
Looks to me like easter lilly's out by the trees :)))
Love the photo, only pity you don't say this photo is from December 23.
Oh good, chickie. I thought it WAS on a pole! LOL!Are those blooming Iris's in the distance?
