This was taken on a climb up Blencathra in the Lake District National Park, UK. I say a climb, most of it is just an uphill hike, but hard work all the same.. this point in the picture is part of a feature called Sharp Edge, it's a ridge that takes you to the top but it's a scramble.. Although there is other routes up this one is popular for it's challenge with it's steep sides either side... as you can see, even dogs get in on the act :-)

Great puzzle. Thanks for posting

Ps.. it wasn't the only dog that was there, once up top they were let off the leash :-)

rn927,
thanks, I don't think the dog was under any stress.. the photo gives the impression that the people are going away from you.. in fact they are coming towards you, the chap has turned round to watch his lady crossing the ridge in case she needed help.. the dog had been quite keen to carry on, even though it was on a lead, it was trying to lead. I don't think it would have been wise to let it off the leash at this point, there was too many other people about :-)

This is a great picture. But, I don't really think the dog has a choice if it's on a leash.
