Better known as Eli's and much featured in Ian Marchant's brilliant "The Longest Crawl". A rare ale house where you get served from beer pumps attached to a wall whilst you mill around on flagstones. There's no bar! Great for cider drinkers too.

Thanks for the website kevin, I did wonder what the interior looked like without a bar. Interesting history and to have the same family still running the pub after 150 years....that's what I call dedication...Sue

A strangely designed space for this day and age, but one which is much appreciated by pub historians. See http://www.heritagepubs.org.uk/pubs/historic-pub-interior-entry.asp?pubid=140 for a description of the interior. Owned by the same family for the last 150 years. Definitely unique. Thanks, Sue - kevin
