The Statue of Liberty

lucky you - I still haven't seen her. So I was determined to see the Queen Mary 2 on her maiden voyage from Southampton

My husband and I took his two girls on the Queen at Long Beach in 1970 when you could first tour it. That was before it had hotels, shops and such open. You had to tour in groups of 10, with a guide and you had to be able to climb ladders and have enough stamina to keep going without a long rest period or restroom need! The restoration work was still in progress in some areas.

she crossed the Atlantic 999 times but has been at Long Beach longer than she was on the Atlantc
