Matlacha (pronounced like a guy's name "Matt LaShay") is about 1.5 hours south of me. I'm in Palmetto, just north of Bradenton...we only get water to our knees here...and REAAAALLLY BIG bugs :oD :oD :oD

I looked up Matlacha. It's a Caloosa word meaning "water to the chin"!
