Yes! and our bird and nature group has a fabulous photographer who shares images with the group. he has taken many great images of them. wish i could share, but they are copyrighted. amazing. it's also called the Mexican Eagle. i have been begging him to let me put a book together for him. some day....

Those aren't hairs coming out of the pores, they're protofeathers. They're the same stuff that their ancestors, the velociraptors, were covered in.
