Why are you reporting this puzzle?

There are numerous old homesteads and farms along the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. The first historic stop along the Nature Trail is the Jim Bales Place, a farm built in the 1850’s.When the Park Service gained control of the land in the 1930s, the frame house was torn down and was replaced with the Alex Cole Cabin (moved from another location), which was more representative of the pioneer days of Appalachia. Bales' corn crib and barn remain.

It does look much like VA, Ardy.
Snooker: Little: Small. Tiny. We didn't wear hiking boots. We wore our SANDALS, which would be improper footwear for a real hike. No hiking stick required. Sure, there's dirt, roots, rocks, water and critters.....but you're in the dang WOODS! :)
Yes, Maria. We WOULD have a lot of fun exploring together! ☺ I think I recall you posting a [photo of the cabin on Johnson Lake.
Thank you, Shirley. Seemed that the one small building had lots of "faces" to it!~

Shian2

Cute from all angles, Thanks, Suzy.

So interesting, love it! It reminds me when we came across an old cabin deep in the forest at Johnson lake in Banff built in 1910 by Billy Carver.
You and I would have a lot of fun exploring:-))

Definition of "little", please. :)

ringleader

Rather like along the Blue Ridge Parkway, too, Suzy. Thanks.

Love this scene. The kind you would vision while reading a novel. (or at least the type I like to read)

Interesting history, Suzy.

laurajane

I like the setting. Very different from a farmhouse out here in Illinois.
