Mr O, thank you. You are perceptive. I chose the number of pieces for precisely that reason. Plan backfired when I didn't solve it as fast as I thought I would :->

A pleasant little puzzle, I must say.
It is sized just right, so the pieces do not give obvious color clues for their neighbors.
