Great photo. Enjoyed all the info from you and Robbie. Thanks!

Thanks for the great info, Robbie. So sorry to hear about your SS and his friend. Did not go by boat to the other side but did go by Parrot Tree on the road that same day. It's a small world. Glad he liked the photo.
We were on Roatan about 15 to 20 years ago for a diving trip with a group from our area in MN. No problem with dengue but one of our group got malaria about 10 months after the trip. Two of them rented motorcycles and went out riding around Roatan and he was bitten. Luckily when he got very sick in ND an alert lab tech spotted something in the blood sample that he wasn't familiar with and finally came up with malaria. As you can imagine that was not a common illness in ND.

Hi snooker, this is a private residence owned by a Texan. It is built within the Parrot Tree Plantation complex which is a luxury vacation spot with a hotel, marina condos and private homes like this one. My SS Ian worked on the site and had not thought about it for many years. He thanks you for the photo. Unfortunately he had a bad experience. He and a friend caught dengue fever and were sent to the mainland hospital. His friend died and Ian took a long time to recover. Jenny didn't hear about it until after he was well. So did you go around the other side and see the marina?

Nice picture snooker, I sent this to my stepson to see if he knows about it. He lived on Roatan for a while and married a Honduran. Beautiful place, thanks.

snooker

Good name for it. Could very well be a hotel - hard to say.

pumpkinhead

A MacMansion for sure!

snooker

Could very well be a hotel and not a mansion, gnt.
If it is a home, Shirley, I wouldn't want to clean it. :)

snooker

Great place to visit but wouldn't want to live there, bradjan.

Mansion on the hill, beautiful, I'd be happy with something a little smaller, Thanks snooker.

bradjan

Snooker this is meant to be yours. So buy it.

We were on a day tour of the island with a boat trip into the mangrove swamps. This is a fancy home I would guess.

bradjan

Snooker, looks as though you have enough time to get off the ship and walk around for a while. What is this building?
