it's no wonder i haven't heard from you!! 24hrs!! your stickability amazes me! it must give you so much satisfaction as that last piece slots in!! yes, maggie, i'm very happy with this weather. we've had plenty of sunshine!! :-)))
Hi John long time no speak. Been on childcare duties. Finally finished this monster in (wait for it)24:19:07. Hope you are keeping well & enjoying the weather.
You are very precise! I'm very slapdash!! LOLOL
Thanks for that, Krondar!!
I took some screenshots of my preparations, took me nearly 40 minutes but in the end it helped a lot.http://tinypic.com/r/30bii44/6http://tinypic.com/r/2j2zsld/6Props to Monza and stonehenge for their incredible times, no clue how you did it.
A very good time, as usual, Krondar! Well done!!
:-DIt took me only a couple of weeks, but I feel satisfied now. Thanks Tugman
Thanks for that, Monza! Top of the board too!! I think that you will be staying there! Well done!
What a wonderful puzzle, many thanks Tugman ;~)
I'll check it out now, StudyBreak! Thanks
I'm a full time college student. I do puzzles now for a break, probably too often, lol. I had to get this puzzle done before classes started -- Whew! I've got a puzzle for you tugman, and all the brave souls who have enjoyed this one. A challenge. It would be a different experience, I guarantee you...and tough. It's called "Cook in Kitchen - Jumbo", the largest I could make it. Let me know what you think.http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=MCM95Y6L
Nice of you to say that, badge!! Look forward to seeing you on other jigs! :-))
Resting peacefully in the sett until the next challenge. Thanks for all the lovely puzzles.
Yes, StudyBreak, it is interesting to look through the comments. Must find another challenge for people. Where does your StudyBreak tag come from.
Ignatz was 28hrs+ but he enjoyed it. I think I sent him a medal!! Badge got new eyes and brain!! It just shows that some people enjoy a "real" challenge!! :-)))
I'm enjoying all the comments from people who are still working on, or have completed this puzzle. It sure does deserve a go!
John, you know it's a great monster when you still see people finishing 10 days after you post it. Anyone who finishes this puzzle deserves a medal but looking at some of the times, a medal isn't near enough for their efforts and time.
Well done, badge. I heard your sigh of relief from here! LOLIt would be interesting to see longest times! :-))
Thank you for the delivery of new eyes - safely received. New brain would be most welcome - believe the one originally fitted is suffering corrosion from prolonged exposure to jigsaw puzzles! Finally finished - is 18:26:49 a record for the longest time taken to complete this one?Frustrating but good to get the last pieces in place.
bschwartz, many thanks for your comment. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. There's a medal in the post for finishing!! LOL
Great puzzle- 14:03:27, not even close to being on the board! Definately a challenging one.
that was an "epic voyage", ignatz!!! well done for finishing. glad that you enjoyed it.
28:51:46 and enjoyed every minute! Still a challenge right up to the end ...
badge, i've put some new eyes in the post for you!! you might need a new brain, too!! lol. keep going , mate!!
Well, still at it - definitely off the leader board at just over 13:15 and 55%. Eyes have gone all funny and feel about twenty years older - but intend to persevere.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Kathy. I was feeling a bit guilty about "badgering" you into doing it!! LOL
Look! I actually finished! I've never done a puzzle like this, even back in the old cardboard puzzle days. It was a lot of fun, and for the moment I'm on board at 12:56:37.Thanks, John & Aishah, for encouraging me to take the plunge. I'll have to tackle these sparingly, but it is pretty addicting. Cheers :-))
That was a really good time, JohnnyBones! Well done and I'm glad that you enjoyed it!!
Finally! Thanks for the puzzle.
that's dedication, studybreak. everyone who finishes deserves a medal ! well done and i'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Finally finished! Not fast enough to make the leaderboard, but now I can get my life back, lol. Great puzzle, and beautiful image. 15:38:35
Good to hear that from you, calluna. I'll see if I can find a similar one, when we've all recovered!!! LOL
Hi, Aishah. It just shows that people enjoy a challenge, as in the days when jigsaws were a physical entity!!
StudyBreak. I like your philosophy re:- "pretty pieces to look at"!!! ;-)))
Badge, think of the "pleasure" when you fit two pieces in ten minutes!!! Keep on truckin'!!
Absolutely diabolical, but pretty colors/textures tantalizing to keep going. just couldn't walk away from this one. LOL.
And to think that I thought you scared everyone off with this monster.
I'm no holdout, just still at it. 8+ hours and a long way yet to go. Thank goodness these are some pretty pieces to look at.
I keep going away and coming back - but still only seem to place about one piece every ten minutes or so.
Badge, it's tough but I hope you keep going!
erad, still alive and you beat me!! Well done!!
I'm beginning to think that I won't live long enough to complete this puzzle!
still alive :D
Print your time and be damned is what I say, Aishah and StudyBreak!! LOL
LOL! Studybreak if you wait until ten people are on the board, you may be waiting forever. I think this puzzle scared a lot of people.
Good of you to comment, StudyBreak. Finishing deserves a medal!! LOL Get your name on that leader board quick!!!!
6 hours into this monster! I'm not going to tell you how far I am... and I'm not going to place that final piece until there are 10 other people on the Leaderboard. LOL! Great puzzle.
Good luck, Johnny!! See you when you've finished!! LOL
No way do I beat stonehenge's time. But time to continue from where I left off on Saturday!
At least we have a good chance of staying on the leader board, Aishah. I will have to look for another good subject!! :-))
This puzzle was incredibly insane. There just wasn't enough difference in the coloring and there was no distinct pattern to it. It was all about the shape of the pieces. And that is why I absolutely loved it! And probably why so many people were too scared to do it.
you are all heart, aishah!!5 hardliners have finished the jig so far!! they all deserve a medal!!
You should be pleased, John. That was a true monster and I was not in anyway ashamed of my time. I think that puzzle scrambled my brain though. It was my day off but I volunteered to do a student workshop for a half day today. What was I thinking? LOL
Not the 7hrs you forecast, Aishah, but I'm pleased with that time!
I'll sure as hell be trying, Aishah!! LOL
Finally! Wow! 10+ hours. Last time that happened, you were in the 7 hour range, John. Can you beat me again?
You are almost there, Aishah. I'm only at 34% and 3 1/2 hrs!!
9:16:22 and 74%. Not sure I will finish today either, but I'm trying. LOL
Good idea, Aishah!! LOL
Honestly, I have given up on trying to beat anyone. I just want to finish. LOL : )
Have you got the "staying power" to beat me, Aishah. We shall see!! LOL
That's a little behind me. I was just under an hour and a half at 20%. This is a true beast!
Aishah, I'm at 2hrs for 20%. I won't be finishing today!! LOL
Another addict, stonehenge!! A very good addict, too!! LOL
Are you in pain, Maggie? LOL
John, this is definitely one of your harder puzzles. I am at 5:03:47 and only 45%. Maybe, just maybe I can finish it today. : )
Kittenlove, thank you for the vote of confidence!
No problem aishahm. Tugman the reason I never comment is that I am trying to wean myself off jigidi! I used to have a different profile and I thought that if I changed it I would lose my competitiveness and get on with all the stuff I ignore because I can't stop doing puzzles! Aint gonna happen!
Stonehenge, you will have to get a more gender-oriented tag to avoid confusion!!At least it drew a comment from you!! LOL
Hi, kittenlove. Good to have your comments. Enjoy? the jig!!
Aishah, I've barely started. Enjoy the jig and I'll see you at the finishing line!! :-))
My apologies Stonehenge!
I opened this up and nearly choked.....see you next week......will be here the rest of the weekend.......LOL.
That's even better, stonehenge.......I'm know you will have the lead....that was good work for sure.
I'm not a him!!!!!!
5:03:44 and only 41%. Stonehenge needn't have any fear that I will knock him out of first spot....lol. John, Pat, Kathy......where are you? You are all gluttons for punishment just like me, so I know you must be working this puzzle too. And John, you most definitely used the right word when you said "painful."
love solid colors like this....it's a big one, but I'll do it....a little each day...LOL. It may take me 10 hrs.....so don't feel bad.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing!
If stonehenge took 5+hrs., we will be longer!!LOL
Nearly an hour and a half and I I am only at 20%. I think I might need that snow day just to finish this. LOL! : )
You are easily pleased, Aishah. Think of me with every "painful" piece you fit !! LOL
Oh John, this is fantastic. You just made my weekend. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
