it's no wonder i haven't heard from you!! 24hrs!! your stickability amazes me! it must give you so much satisfaction as that last piece slots in!! yes, maggie, i'm very happy with this weather. we've had plenty of sunshine!! :-)))
Hi John long time no speak. Been on childcare duties. Finally finished this monster in (wait for it) 24:19:07. Hope you are keeping well & enjoying the weather.
I took some screenshots of my preparations, took me nearly 40 minutes but in the end it helped a lot. http://tinypic.com/r/30bii44/6 http://tinypic.com/r/2j2zsld/6 Props to Monza and stonehenge for their incredible times, no clue how you did it.
I'm a full time college student. I do puzzles now for a break, probably too often, lol. I had to get this puzzle done before classes started -- Whew! I've got a puzzle for you tugman, and all the brave souls who have enjoyed this one. A challenge. It would be a different experience, I guarantee you...and tough. It's called "Cook in Kitchen - Jumbo", the largest I could make it. Let me know what you think. http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=MCM95Y6L
Ignatz was 28hrs+ but he enjoyed it. I think I sent him a medal!! Badge got new eyes and brain!! It just shows that some people enjoy a "real" challenge!! :-)))
John, you know it's a great monster when you still see people finishing 10 days after you post it. Anyone who finishes this puzzle deserves a medal but looking at some of the times, a medal isn't near enough for their efforts and time.
Thank you for the delivery of new eyes - safely received. New brain would be most welcome - believe the one originally fitted is suffering corrosion from prolonged exposure to jigsaw puzzles! Finally finished - is 18:26:49 a record for the longest time taken to complete this one? Frustrating but good to get the last pieces in place.
Well, still at it - definitely off the leader board at just over 13:15 and 55%. Eyes have gone all funny and feel about twenty years older - but intend to persevere.
Look! I actually finished! I've never done a puzzle like this, even back in the old cardboard puzzle days. It was a lot of fun, and for the moment I'm on board at 12:56:37.
Thanks, John & Aishah, for encouraging me to take the plunge. I'll have to tackle these sparingly, but it is pretty addicting. Cheers :-))
6 hours into this monster! I'm not going to tell you how far I am... and I'm not going to place that final piece until there are 10 other people on the Leaderboard. LOL! Great puzzle.
This puzzle was incredibly insane. There just wasn't enough difference in the coloring and there was no distinct pattern to it. It was all about the shape of the pieces. And that is why I absolutely loved it! And probably why so many people were too scared to do it.
You should be pleased, John. That was a true monster and I was not in anyway ashamed of my time. I think that puzzle scrambled my brain though. It was my day off but I volunteered to do a student workshop for a half day today. What was I thinking? LOL
No problem aishahm. Tugman the reason I never comment is that I am trying to wean myself off jigidi! I used to have a different profile and I thought that if I changed it I would lose my competitiveness and get on with all the stuff I ignore because I can't stop doing puzzles! Aint gonna happen!
5:03:44 and only 41%. Stonehenge needn't have any fear that I will knock him out of first spot....lol. John, Pat, Kathy......where are you? You are all gluttons for punishment just like me, so I know you must be working this puzzle too. And John, you most definitely used the right word when you said "painful."
